We were making our way toward the remote outpost of Stewart in north British Columbia. Suddenly we saw a bear lying in the sun down a side road. We turned around and stopped the van, only to discover it wasn't just a bear, but a mama grizzly with two teenage cubs. As we watched, all three of them came out into the road and sat there. Us watching them, them watching us, until they trotted off into the bushes. Only a couple of hours later, we pulled up alongside a mama black bear eating at the side of the road, her two newborn cubs playing on a tree stump. This design is in honour of those bears and the pure wilderness you can only experience in Canada.
